Sarajevo is a small mountain city with a cosmopolitan people. Many who escaped the terrible siege of Sarajevo lived as refugees across the globe and have returned to try to heal their country. These are pictures of their city with all its wounds, scars and beauty.

This series truly focuses on the sidewalks and streets of this affluent suburb. Remnants of old Bethesda still linger but are fast disappearing to the wrecking ball and the rise of luxury apartment towers, chain stores and restaurants.
