Sidewalk Flowers

Lima Peru

I recently relocated to Lima Peru.

Amid the the covid lockdowns, exploration of the city has been limited and I have been warned by local security guards not to walk around with my camera out due to the risk of getting mugged. So, on my daily walks around my neighborhood, I began to collect these fallen flowers using my phone. My rule is that I cannot move or touch the flowers. I just shoot them as I find them. The street sweepers are numerous and diligent so it is a stroke of luck to find one before they sweep it away!
